In continuation of the monthly Knowledge Hub webinars hosted by the Alumni Association of the Jackson School of Communication (UNN Mass Communication Department), the presentation for September 2 shall be on Qualitative Research Methods. The two previous presentations were on Mixed Methods Overview and Action Research.

At this international seminar, experts will provide an overview, discuss use of focus groups & interviews, coding & analysis, and the use of computers to analyze sample qualitative data. They will also discuss examples of real life applications of qualitative research methods.

He is  an Emeritus professor of Strategic Communication at North Dakota State University, Fargo, ND, and was formerly Executive Coordinator of the African Council for Communication Education (ACCE).

Dr. Nuhu Gapsiso


Nuhu Diraso Gapsiso is an Associate Professor and Head, Department of Mass Communication, University of Maiduguri, Nigeria. He holds a PhD in Mass Communication. Nuhu resides and lectures in Maiduguri.

Dr. Bella Ezumah


Dr. Bellarmine (Bella) Ezumah is an Associate Professor and the Director of the Graduate Program in the Journalism and Mass Communications department of Murray State University, Kentucky. 

Dr. Mustapha Malam


He graduated with a first degree in mass communication from Bayero University, Kano where he has been a Senior Lecturer since 2003. He obtained his M.Sc degree at University of Jos and  a PhD in communications policy from City University, London in 1993. 

Dr. R. Adeniran


Raheemat Adeniran is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Communication, Lagos State University, Lagos, Nigeria. She holds a Ph.D. in Communication Studies (2018) from Lagos State University.

Dr. Chuks Enwerem


DR CHUKS ODIEGWU-ENWEREM is a lecturer in the department of Mass Communication, National Open University of Nigeria Abuja. He holds the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Mass Communication from Covenant University, Nigeria.
